Week 8: Reflections/Lessons Learned

This week I got to do a little bit of precedent research for an amphitheater in Myrtle Beach, SC. I looked at many different types, and many different sizes. This amphitheater will be positioned right behind a boardwalk, so there is an interesting dynamic with the water behind it. Some of the precedents I studied were relevant since they were adjacent to water, and some of them were more or less the size of the one we are working on. Amphitheaters can range from a simple stage in front of a patch of grass, to an elaborate Greek tragedy amphitheater. They are great spaces that can tie an entire area together.
