I was surprised to find out that I actually worked 20 hours this week — more than any other week. I've completed 182.5 hours in 52 days (or 12 weeks), i.e. a daily average of 3.5 hours, or 15.2 hours per week — pretty good, considering my short work-hours and that some weeks were only two or three days long. If I continue at 3.5 hours/day, I'll take 7 more days to complete the remaining 25.5 hours left. :/ (Maybe I don't want those seven days to go by too fast.) I am glad that I have kept an exact record of all the hours and tasks I've worked on. This should help as I submit my AXP hours in a few weeks.
This week I got to work across a wide variety of tasks — making office furniture, working on the regular flow of red-lines, visiting sites, meeting with clients, making elevation and detail drawings, and even doing some code research. As an intern, I have never felt this involved across as many projects and phases of running a firm. I find that all this variety is more satisfying to me than always being asked to work on the same thing. I am definitely meeting my goal of getting started with those AXP hours that are harder to attain. Next week we may be asked to visit Sullivan's Island to get some measurements and I look forward to this trip. I feel that everyone at the firm is trying to make sure that I end the internship on a high note, and I appreciate this.
This internship has been my favorite part about this semester at CAC.C. I have felt a real connection with the people I work with — one of the perks of being at a small firm. It is a little sad that I have to leave just as I'm getting to know everyone so well. I'm preparing myself for the upcoming farewell and hopefully I won't be missed too much.
**bursts into metaphorical tears**

Time's up.
