Tyler McKenzie - Day 20: 10/3/17

Tasks Performed: I started my morning by sitting down with my principal and reviewing the redlined progress set of civil and LA drawings that I redlined yesterday. My principal pointed out some extra things to confirm and coordinate on the drawings. I then spent the next few hours reading the AIA Standard Form of Agreement in preparation for a lunch and learn confused on contracts and construction administration. At noon the office met and I presented my schemes for the residence turned office building and we brainstormed ideas for how to further develop the project. After that we had the lunch and learn where my principals explained how they tweak the standard agreement form for each project. They also explained the importance of documentation when it comes to coordinating with contractors regarding pay apps and work on site in general.

Work Accomplished: I finished redlining the progress set, read the AIA standard agreement form and presented my schemes in an office-wide design charrette.
