Rachel Smoak - Week 10

This week I learned how to start a Revit model from scratch and how to translate between plan, section, and 3-D to create the desired model. It was difficult starting off working from scans due to the lack of all dimensions being given as well as not knowing the building. I learned the parts of Revit I understand as well as the places I need to work more. I also have begun learning about the process for acquiring a project and how it goes leading up to an interview. The image is the Revit model in process, our goal was to show only the stage and BOH areas we will be focusing on.

I also learned that working client meetings often involve us, the client, and several of the contractors, as well as people that the design will significantly impact. I also discovered how these meetings function much like our group projects in studio.
