Perry Hammond - Week Five

This week, I got to work on several different tasks with several different people. There were no tight deadlines, so it was nice to be able to work at a pace that allowed a little more curiosity and questioning. On Monday, I read about AIA documents and gained a better understanding of the role they play and the relationship they create between different parties. I also worked with a coworker, Brian, on some redlines for a storage building currently in the CD phase. This building, more glamorous than its program, allowed me the chance to try to understand a few construction details which I had not really seen before. Construction details are one part of the profession which I enjoy and wish I knew more about, so I am glad I was able to jump in on this project for a few days.
