Perry Hammond - Week Eight

This week, we had our second deadline for the Citadel Mall project. This meant that the days before it were hectic but after I got to relax a little. I have been very proud of the work that our team has produced. We have had to coordinate with another team in MPS that is working on renovation of an existing building within the mall currently, which was a neat experience. The collaboration was exciting and enjoyed. I learned this week that as an intern and in this profession, I can go from swamped with tasks to having very little to do in the matter of days. Although I am not always the best at it, i believe it is important to stay productive even when there is no quick deadline or I do not have any assigned tasks. I am learning the importance of being proactive and seeking our work. Luckily, I have been kept very busy so far this semester at MPS, but it is a goal of mine to become better at not waiting for someone to come to me with an assignment, but actively seeking out opportunities to learn and try something new.

This photo shows the existing site plan of the citadel mall and our new proposed plan for phase 1 of the masterplan. This week, I created separate worksets in Revit for each of the four phases.
