I learned this week that the older generation has mixed feelings about email communication. Although it can be very efficient and to the point it can also be easily misunderstood or it could have a latent tone that it wasn't supposed to have. My coworkers agree that it is necessary and great but sometimes a quick call, which is more personal, can make all the difference in developing relationships with clients, subcontractors, or building officials, etc.
