Lessons Learned - Week 5

This week, in one of my daily morning chats with Jerry, I learned that documentation, communication and the combination of the two is extremely important. In one of C&M's projects the process was progressing fairly slowly and by the time it came back to fruition, a new building code specialist for the area was hired. However, Jerry had already agreed on a directed interpretation of the code (specifically occupancy loads) with the past building code person and had documented the whole process so that just in case something like this happened all of their hard work wouldn't be lost. So the newly hired code specialist agreed to the terms his predecessor had approved even though he was against it at the beginning of the discussion because of Jerry's documentation process.
