Week 13 : November 20th - November 24th - Short week because of Thanksgiving.

Lessons learned/reflections:

Monday, November 20th: Continued on interior elevations of a private residence, hoping to wrap it up before I leave for the conclusion of the mentorship. Kate gave me redlines for a prviate residence in Sullivan's Island and I switched gears to work on them.

Tuesday, November 21st: Discussed the writing prompt that I will write about later this week, and continuing on redlines for a private residence on Sullivan's Island. Went to two project jobsites under construction in Charleston peninsula. Good discussion regarding problems with wood framing, structural problems, construction methods.

Images of work completed:

Redlines:

Private residence under construction - front view - I like the proud window at the stairwell.

Living room vaulted roof.

Master bedroom vaulted roof.

Discussion of detail for hurricane loads with metal strapping. This photograph was too dark and I brightened it enough to share online:

Discussion that I pointed out about the ice and dam watershield / lack of correct flashing condition at the bottom of windows in the living room. Kate and I were discussing theoretical best case scenarios.

Close to the property line will mean a required UL assembly for rated wall condition.

Lower wall assembly ties for future veneer.
