Time Worked: 4 Hours
Tasks Performed: The Mac desktop machine that was at my workstation was not set up for Vectorworks, the drafting software used by Beau Clowney Architects. I downloaded and installed the software at my new workstation, and started working on my first drawings with the firm - interior elevations for a private residence in Sullivan's Island.
I was a little frustrated because Vectorworks is totally different from Autodesk products such as AutoCAD or Revit; Vectorworks is much more of a true drafting software with little dynamic components and it does not have parametric modeling or drawing, so I was trying to get used to new commands and a new way of even thinking of drafting. I left the office feeling frustrated but determined that I would learn it and improve over time.
Work Accomplished: Set up new workstation, installed computer software, made progress on interior elevations.
