Andrew Ramsey- Day 22

Hours: 8 Today I was given an exciting project to come up with the design for a garage that will be converted to mother in law house. The project starts with the premise that a new roof with dormers will be added to this 2 story 2 car garage and it will be completely habitable. I began experimenting with roof pitches to determine what slope will look the best and give the most usable floor area on the upper floor. Once I selected a pitch I then modeled the garage in Sketchup to see how it will all work in 3D. For the interior I drew out a few dozen different layouts working on the premise of making this 24' x 24' space open and uncluttered. I then picked the best ones and brought them into PowerCadd for my mentor to select which route will be best to take.
