Andrew Ramsey- Day 21

Hours: 8 Abigail took over finishing up the elevations I started previously and I was assigned my next project, 487 Meeting Street. The elevations of the house were completed a few months back and were necessary to generate the floor plans. My mentor and I visited the site to record as much as possible of the interior. Given the house was deemed structurally unsound we could only get the ground floor, which isn't too much of a set back since the walls on the upper floors will be demolished. I made the floor plans using the exterior dimensions given by the elevations, photos from a structural analysis, and what I sketched using windows and exterior elements as reference. During the process I reflected back on when I first started my internship and how much I've grown, from trying to draw elevations based on photos, sketches, and floor plans, to now fluidly drawing full floor plans in a matter of a few hours.
