Andrew Ramsey- Day 12

Hours: 9 This day I began putting the walls onto the model and focusing on assembling the pieces I had cut before. I then troubleshooted the best way to create the mullions for the model because cutting all the horizontal pieces and gluing them would have made it difficult to keep square and have them look consistent. I found the solution was to measure out where each mullion intersects the perpendicular mullion and cut a grove halfway into each so they can receive each other. Near the end of the day my mentor, another intern, and I went to a meeting with a client concerning the status of their new restaurant construction. The main concern of this meeting was the metal workers had not produced the shop drawings and were setting the project back in schedule. Hearing the discussion over this issue gave me a chance to witness some of the problems that can occur during construction and the effect it has on budget and time.

Also a bird pooped all over my car in a matter of 2 hours.
